Welcome participants of Gracious Parcels … the original online charity knitting program that benefits families of Habitat for Humanity in Orleans County, New York and inspires similar contributions to Habitat families across the globe.
Here is a photograph of the first Gracious Parcels blanket, which was completed over the Christmas 2006 holiday.

The purpose of this site is to offer an open forum for knitters who have participated in Gracious Parcels to share photos, patterns, ideas, inspiration, etc.
To become a contributing member you must have knit and submitted at least one 7″ square to Gracious Parcels for the New York project. Once you are a contributing member you may post blogs and photos.
To request membership as a contributing member, please leave a comment to this post and I will get in touch with you.
Best wishes to all who care to share,
~firefly

Hi firefly,
Just checking in and it looks like I”m the first to post here. I look forward to reading the knitters’ contributions to this new blog! I’ll post again with something more interesting once I think about what I want to say!
This should be a great forum for sharing!
Firefly: can photos of individual squares be posted?

Hi Lynne, I’m Carol. I created another blog on WP so I can test uploading and posting. I use Blogger, so I’m not familiar with the code yet. I look forward to sharing with and learning from you and the others to come.

Aloha … I’m Carol in Hawaii. Just tried to post a longish note, but I don’t see it here. Hmmm … shall wait and see if it appears later on. Happy to meet you, Carol (name confusion begins already!) and Lynne (my middle name). I’m not called Firefly, however! Happy week.

I am Barbara from Florida, I have contributed a few squares. I would love to join and check out some new patterns for future squares to be contributed.

I love the idea of a blog just for contributors. I have a couple of pictures of the squares we sent in and would love to post at one of them to be compared to the finished project. Thanks for setting this site up.
